Hey! I’m Joseph and I accidentally became a Catholic church organist!
I’m also an online piano teacher, blogger, YouTuber, and founder of the successful piano membership site Flex Lessons.
While I didn’t originally study organ in college, I still managed to land a steady organist position and picked up a wealth of musical experience along the way. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
Considering that I am a Catholic organist, my musical efforts in this position are inspired by the Liturgical year. I absolutely love the different Liturgical seasons and I very much enjoy matching up music with various feasts and solemnities.
For newcomers to the profession, the planning aspect can be one of the biggest challenges. There is a gigantic learning curve because there are so many different liturgies, Holy Days, and so much music to learn. It’s ridiculously easy to end up wasting a lot of time. If you are in this position, I believe I can help you out!

Other tangentially-related subjects
Also, I won’t spam your inbox because I’m busy as heck with kids and all sorts of other things. I intend to share posts as I am able to throughout the year. With that said, I will gladly reply to your comments and answer your questions as they come up.
