The Clarion Café: Lessons in Coffee and Music
Many folks know nothing of crafting a decent cup of coffee short of turning their coffee pot on. The subtle notes of cream and sugar are enhanced by a hint of stale coffee from the local store. In this sense, coffee is merely means to an unhealthy end. You can struggle through it, but it will never inspire.
If your routine consists of grocery store coffee and the occasional visit to Starbucks, you need to know that better things await your discovery. Many are unaware of the potential for quality coffee at home. The Clarion Café aims to change that.
My name is Joseph, the person behind The Clarion Café. If you are new here, you should know that this blog is primarily about sharing my experience as a coffee aficionado and a professional musician.
I first became interested in coffee brewing as a hobby while studying music in college. During this time, I discovered that long practice hours go hand in hand with coffee consumption. I am now a private piano instructor, a church organist, and a part time blogger.
While I am not a coffee professional, I think it’s safe to say that I am very enthusiastic about coffee. I collect coffee gadgets, research equipment, and roast my own beans.
The daily ritual of enjoying a cup of coffee represents time set aside to self reflect and prepare each day. I think there is value in this hobby besides the physical effect of caffeine. I sincerely hope this site will inspire you to brew better coffee and take some time for yourself as well.
In case you are wondering, my favorite drinks are the caffé americano, and a double latte with nothing added.
